About Audio Formats

The files marked by "h.q., no h.a." are au sound files, and will work with the audio player supplied with Netscape Navigator, the Naplayer. You should use these files if you do not have your helper applications for mime type "audio/x-wav" configured properly. If you do have your helper applications configured, take your pick of the files marked by "m.q., h.a." (medium quality) and "l.q., h.a." (low quality); these are compressed wave files and are thus smaller in file size than the au files, but they will not play with the Naplayer.

Here are descriptions of the three categories:

High quality, no helper apps
Medium quality, helper apps
Low quality, helper apps
