Architecture The Carnegie Library, with its Neo-Classical Revival style, was designed by Brainerd Jones, a prominent local architect who designed many of Petaluma's turn-of-the-century buildings and residences. It was constructed of locally quarried Roblar sandstone and white Alameda brick, with a soaring center rotunda capped by a stained glass dome. The building's architectural plans are on display inside. Fortunately, the library only sustained minor damage during the 1906 earthquake. |
